Big-rig crash ties up 60 Freeway in Pomona

February 25, 2011 |  7:39 am

The 60 Freeway was a mess Friday morning hours after a crash involving two big rigs and two cars closed the roadway in Pomona.

The California Highway Patrol said one of the tractor trailers overturned on top of a car on the westbound 60 at Phillips Ranch Road. Three lanes were blocked for more than three hours after the 3 a.m. accident.

No one was killed, but several people were reported injured. Crews were still working at 7 a.m. to clean up spilled diesel fuel. Commuters should expect 30- to 45-minute delays.
