A moderate earthquake struck Baja California on Sunday morning, with shaking felt up to San Diego. No major damages or injuries were reported, authorities said.

The magnitude 5 quake struck at 11:34 a.m. Sunday just south of Mexicali, according to The U.S. Geological Survey.

Tremors were felt in San Diego, about 120 miles west-northwest of the epicenter, according to USGS reports.

But there have been no calls reporting damage or injury, according to San Diego County Sheriff's Lt. Jim Walker.

"We didn't even feel it here," Walker said Sunday afternoon.

A week ago, a magnitude 4.1 quake struck in the same area with several aftershocks, USGS records show.
