Crime alerts for Shadow Hills, Elysian Park and 14 other Los Angeles neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 16 Los Angeles neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

11 neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Shadow Hills (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports, compared with a weekly average of 0.3 over the last three months.

Elysian Park (L) topped the list of five neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded five property crimes, compared with its weekly average of 1.5 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Jan. 11–Jan. 17, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
