Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 10 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Five neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Highland Park (A) was the most unusual, recording nine reports compared with a weekly average of 3.3 over the last three months.

Panorama City (F) topped the list of five neighborhoods with property-crime alerts. It recorded 38 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 26.5 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Dec. 25–Dec. 31, the most recent seven days where data are available.
