Talk back L.A.What questions do you want the candidates to answer?

On March 8, Los Angeles voters will be asked to pick from a raft of candidates to fill seven City Council seats and four each on the city school and community college boards.

The Times plans to send detailed questionnaires to candidates -- and we'd like readers to submit questions. Cuts in police and libraries? Medical marijuana policy? Tax increases? Library hours? We want to hear from you.

Ten ballot measures will also ask, among other things, if voters want to tax oil producers and medical marijuana dispensaries, increase funding to city libraries, alter police and firefighter pensions and establish an independent ratepayer advocate at the Department of Water and Power.

The City Clerk's Web page contains links to the certified list of the 52 candidates, a summary of the ballot measures as well as details on how to register to vote.
