Wrong-way driver crashes head-on into car, arrested on DUI charge

A 30-year-old North Hollywood man is in Burbank police custody after allegedly driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes of the San Fernando Road underpass early Sunday morning, colliding with an approaching car and sending its occupants to area hospitals, according to officials. The identities of the victims was not released.

Ezekial Rodriguez was arrested shortly after the 12:45 a.m. collision after reportedly fleeing the scene on foot to a nearby McDonald’s, according to the Burbank Police Department. He was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
