Deputy wounds man in East Los Angeles

Investigators Wednesday evening were probing an officer-involved shooting in East Los Angeles.
A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy wounded a man Wednesday afternoon in the 4700 block of Hammel Street, authorities said.
The man was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not released, the Sheriff's Department said. The deputy was not injured.
No other details were available.
