Thousands pay respects to slain Riverside police officer

Funeral About 8,000 people were estimated to have attended funeral services Tuesday for a Riverside police officer and Iraq war veteran slain during a traffic stop.

Services for Officer Ryan Bonaminio began at 10 a.m. at The Grove Community Church in Riverside. Before the service, dozens of police vehicles joined the funeral procession in the slain officer's honor.
