Republicans on the Westside 'fear putting a sign in their yard, a bumper sticker on their car'
The Santa Monica Daily Press attended a "Republicans coming out of the Closet" event over the weekend in Santa Monica, held by various GOP community groups to allow Republicans to mingle and discuss strategy. About 100 people attended -- and got a chance to vent.
"The unfortunate truth is that many Republicans on the Westside fear putting a sign in their yard, a bumper sticker on their car or even expressing an opinion at social gatherings," said Donna Block, first vice president of the Santa Monica Republican Women Federated told the paper.
