Marine plane drops part on home in Poway; no one injured

October 2, 2010 | 12:55 pm

Part of a refueling hose from a Marine C-130 cargo plane fell Saturday morning on a home in Poway, north of the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, the Marines said.

No one was injured, the Marine Corps said. The San Diego Fire Department's hazardous-material team responded incident.

The Marine Corps is hosting its annual air show this weekend at Miramar, although no connection between the show and the incident, which occurred at 10:50 a.m., was announced.

The hose hit the roof of the home but did not crash through. The home is owned by a retired Navy commander, officials said.
