Pelayo, edgar A man suspected of stabbing his brother to death during a dispute in Hollywood has been arrested in San Bernardino County, authorities said Monday.

Edgar Pelayo, 42, was arrested by San Bernardino Police Department officers after Los Angeles police investigators said they received information the suspect had taken a bus headed for Calexico after the Sunday afternoon killing, said LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman.

The suspect shared an apartment in the 1500 block of Winona Boulevard with his 31-year-old brother, Phillip Pelayo. The two got into an argument that escalated into violence, police said.

During the fight, the suspect allegedly took out a knife and stabbed his younger brother. Phillip Pelayo was pronounced dead a short time later at a local hospital, officials said.

The Greyhound bus carrying Edgar Pelayo was stopped by San Bernardino police around 12:40 a.m. Monday, officials said, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
