Lindsay Lohan expected to leave jail soon
The Lindsay Lohan watch began again Sunday at County Jail in Lynwood amid speculation she will be released Monday.
Sheriff's Department officials have not said exactly when she will be released, but earlier statements suggest it could be Sunday or Monday.
When the actress began her 90-day sentence for violating the terms of her probation on a 2007 DUI conviction, sheriff’s officials said they expected her to serve at least 13 days, which would bring her release date to Aug.1 at the earliest.
According to Sheriff’s Department officials, Lohan’s 13 days are based on the assumption that she behaves. That would mean she would have to serve only 51 days of her 90-day sentence, but because of overcrowding in county jails and because she is a nonviolent female offender, she will serve only a quarter of that time.
Lohan is expected to go from jail to a drug and alcohol rehab center, which was required by a judge in Beverly Hills.
