Water main break disrupts service to Sunset Boulevard hospital

July 21, 2010 | 10:16 am

A water main break near Sunset Boulevard in east Hollywood left Kaiser Permanente Hospital without running water for several hours Wednesday morning, but a hospital spokesman said patient care was not affected.

Kaiser spokesman Jim Anderson said emergency procedures were put in place and surgeries underway at the time were not disrupted.

The hospital has an emergency supply of water, Anderson said, but he did not know whether it had been used Wednesday.

Water service to the hospital had been restored by about 9:30 a.m., Anderson said.
