Santa Monica police looking for bike-riding groper

Santa Monica police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a bicycle-riding man believed to have groped women in the last three days.

The suspect possibly rides a 10-speed bike. He is described as Latino, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 180 pounds, unshaven and wearing a short-sleeved chef’s coat and pants with a small black-and-white checkered pattern.

In two assaults on three women, he rode by and grabbed their buttocks, breasts and genitals, police said. The incidents reportedly occurred Tuesday at 4:09 p.m. near 14th Street and Santa Monica Boulevard and Thursday at 11 a.m. near 2nd and Strand streets.
