A man wearing an "old man'' mask Friday robbed a Bank of America branch in the Sorrento Valley neighborhood of San Diego of an unspecified amount of money, the FBI said.

The robber is not considered to be the Geezer Bandit, who has robbed 10 banks in San Diego County and one in Riverside County since August, the FBI said.

Friday's robber was shorter, smaller and dressed differently than the Geezer Bandit. It also was apparent to witnesses that he was wearing a mask and surgical gloves during the holdup at 11:28 a.m.

Although there has been media speculation that the Geezer Bandit is actually a younger man wearing a mask, the FBI has continually described him as 60 to 70 years old.
