Who won in the McCourt battle over spousal support?

In the saga of Frank and Jamie McCourt, who won the battle over spousal support?

Last week, a judge ordered Dodgers owner Frank McCourt to pay his estranged wife, Jamie, $637,159 a month in temporary spousal support, plus lawyers fees, pending their divorce.

Many assumed this was a big victory for Jamie McCourt. But Carla Hall, the Times reporter covering the divorce battle, says it's more complicated than that.

The judge's order falls short of the $988,845 that Jamie McCourt requested. More than half of that requested amount ($568,829), her lawyers said, is needed to pay the costs, including mortgages, of seven homes and an eighth piece of property in Mexico that are listed in her name. Her lawyers argued that spousal support should include those costs because her estranged husband used to contribute funds to the housing.

Hall analyzes the judge's ruling in the video above and in more detail in her story.
