Family photos of Khachik Safaryan, 43, Lusine Safaryan, 8 and Karine Hakobyan, 38 A man accused of killing a Hollywood woman earlier this year pleaded not guilty Monday in court, and officials said they are continuing to investigate whether he is linked to the slayings of two members of the woman's family.

Alberd Tersargyan of Los Angeles was detained on an unrelated charge, but police say they have evidence he is involved in the slayings that shocked the Little Armenia area.

In December 2008, a gunman burst into a Hollywood apartment and shot Khachik Safaryan and his 8-year-old daughter. Safaryan's 12-year-old daughter discovered the bodies later that day.

Eighteen months later, Safaryan's widow, Karine Hakobyan, 38, was found slumped in her car with a gunshot wound to the back of the head, blocks away from the first crime scene. The daughter, once again, discovered the body.

Law enforcement sources have told The Times that detectives believe Tersargyan was obsessed with Hakobyan and might have been stalking her for some time.
