Student, 16, stabbed at high school near Palmdale

A 16-year-old student was stabbed Wednesday at a continuation high school in the Antelope Valley, but the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, authorities said.

The stabbing occurred at R. Rex Parris High School in Littlerock about 11:20 a.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Three suspects were taken into custody. It was unclear whether they were students, the department said. Their names and ages were not released.

The name of the victim was also not released. The case was under investigation, and no additional details were available.
