Linking L.A.: Flea market to open this summer at Dodger Stadium
Hail-a-Taxi could stay: BlogDowntown is reporting that Councilwoman Jan Perry wants to make the Hail-a-Taxi program permanent (via LAist):
BlogDowntown says that although the 2-year-old program may not have transformed downtown L.A.'s "transportation landscape, it did push Los Angeles one step closer to acting like a real city.
Knabe hosts Internet chat: The San Gabriel Valley Tribune is reporting that Supervisor Don Knabe has started hosting live chats with his constituents on the internet:
"During the first session last week, more than 500 people logged on to ask questions or see what Knabe had to say about county issues."
Dodger Stadium flea market: The Eastsider LA is reporting that a flea market will open in the Dodger Stadium parking lot:
"Echo Park Lake's Sunday Swap Meet will be getting some competition -- from Dodger Stadium. Flea market operator Phillip Dane plans to launch the L.A. Flea Market on July 18 in the stadium parking lots overlooking downtown."
