March 24, 2010 |  4:51 pm
Three people were arrested on suspicion of illegally selling pot at two Los Angeles medical marijuana dispensaries, police said Wednesday.

The arrests stemmed from an investigation launched in February after residents complained that a dispensary in East Hollywood was operating close to a school, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Officers served search warrants at the Medco Organics dispensary at 326 N. Vermont Ave., police said. The search led officers to a second dispensary, the Relief Co., at 5669 W. Pico Blvd. in Mid-Wilshire, police said.

The names of the suspects were not released. They were being held in lieu of $25,000 bail each.
