Woman killed in South Los Angeles

Lanow.farias Authorities are searching for a man who shot and killed a woman Saturday night at a party in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Gunfire broke out about 11:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of 101st Street. Ivon Sanchez was wounded and later pronounced dead at a hospital. The suspect, Mauricio Farias, 38, fled in a white 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with chrome rims and the California license plate 8M15256.

Deputies warn that Farias should be considered armed and dangerous, and urge anyone with information to call the homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.
