Apparent gang-related shooting leaves four injured in South L.A.

An apparent gang-related shooting left four people injured tonight in an unincorporated neighborhood near South Los Angeles, authorities said.

A 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy, along with two adult males, were injured in the violence that broke out about 4:50 p.m. near 105th Street and Budlong Avenue. The victims were taken to local hospitals. Their wounds were not life-threatening, said Lt. Kent Wegener of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Anyone with information is asked to call sheriff's detectives with the Operation Safe Streets unit at the Lennox Station at (310) 671-7531.
