Santa Barbara fire: Track the Jesusita blaze on latimes.com [UPDATED]

May 6, 2009 |  9:33 pm

The Times is tracking the path of the Jesusita fire, which began about 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

The wind-driven blaze -- which is burning in the Mission Canyon area, just north of Mission Santa Barbara -- started to burn homes this afternoon. The fire is burning just west of the area hit by the Tea fire (shown on the map above in gray). That fire last November, one of the county's most destructive,  burned nearly 2,000 acres and destroyed more than 200 homes.

[Update: The Times map includes details about homes destroyed, as well as saved and also has links to news coverage and photos.]
