The fire broke out on Willow Glen Drive near Singing Hills Golf Course on the outskirts of El Cajon about 1 p.m. By 3 p.m., the fire was no longer spreading or threatening structures.

The cause of the blaze, dubbed the Willow fire, was unknown. No prediction has been made about when firefighters will have the fire extinguished.
