Clippers' Zach Randolph arrested for alleged DUI
Los Angeles Clippers power forward Zach Randolph was arrested early this morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, CHP officials said.
Randolph, 27, was driving southbound on Interstate 405 north of Washington Boulevard in a white Rolls Royce just before 2:30 a.m. when CHP officers saw his car swerve in and out of the far right lane, according to a CHP statement.
When officers stopped the car, they noticed a smell of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle, according to the CHP. Randolph was determined to be under the influence of alcohol, authorities said. Randolph was arrested but released this morning on $5,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. He has been charged with DUI once in the past, CHP officer Miguel Luevano said. Randolph was traded to the Clippers by the New York Knicks last November.
