More on the hazing allegations at Taft, a renovation surprise, and the Jonas Brothers go 3-D
Here are some of the stories KTLA News reporters are working on for tonight's newscast on Channel 5:
First there were allegations of hazing at Taft High School. Now there's word that a number of staffers have been disciplined because they might have known about it -- and didn't report it. The hazing allegedly happened Feb. 17 to members of the boy's volleyball team. The LAUSD superintendent had some harsh words about this today.
Here's a real estate nightmare: You buy a foreclosure, you start to renovate it, and then you find a skeleton in the chimney. It happened to a homeowner in Fontana. While remodeling his home Monday morning, he noticed an odor coming from the chimney and checked inside. That's when he saw a full skeleton wearing clothes, about 8 feet down from the top, Fontana police Sgt. Jeff Decker said. Get a look at the house on KTLA.com.
And can you hear the ear-splitting echo of screaming girls from where you are? The red carpet is barely rolled up from what you might have thought was the biggest show in Hollywood. But tonight, teen musical heartthrobs the Jonas Brothers are premiering their 3-D movie. Some are calling them the hottest thing since the Beatles! KTLA will be there to capture every tear, faint and squeal.
And from earlier today, the Morning Show video of the day: A rescue of two people clinging to a tree in the middle of the raging Beaver Creek River in Arizona.
