Three dead in car chase [UPDATED]

Updated at 8:15 a.m.: Authorities say all three people in the car were juveniles, and that a boy who initially survived has now died at a hospital.   See the latest details on the Fontana crash here.


Two people were killed and a 6-year-old child was injured when the car they were riding in crashed late Wednesday in a Fontana neighborhood after a pursuit by the California Highway Patrol, according to local reports.

The crash occurred after 9 p.m., and the two adults were killed instantly after they were thrown from the vehicle, Channel 4 reported. It was not clear why the car was being pursued.
