Police looking for Starbucks robber

January 14, 2009 | 10:54 am

Starbuckslogo Police are looking for a man who robbed a Starbucks store in Santa Fe Springs. Two female employees told police officers they were held at gunpoint about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and were forced to the back of the coffee shop at 15909 Valley View Ave., where the intruder demanded they open the safe.

The man then ordered the women to lay on the floor as he took an unknown amount of cash from the safe and put it in his backpack, police said. Before he fled in a green sports utility vehicle, the man took the women's cellphones and told them to count to 100. Police officers arrived shortly after they finished counting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Whittier Police Department at (562) 945-8250
