A 15-year old boy was shot in the stomach this morning near Woodrow Wilson High School in El Sereno, sending the school into lockdown, officials said. After being shot, the boy walked into the high school.

The boy, a student at the school, was taken to a hospital, said Officer Kate Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department. Officials would not release his name or condition.

The shooting took place outside of the school just before 10:30 a.m., and the school remains in lockdown, said LAPD Officer Sam Park. Police are investigating. Woodrow Wilson High is located at 4500 Multnomah St., near North Soto Street and Valley Boulevard.
