December 3, 2008 |  8:27 am

Police this morning are looking for the driver of a Jeep Cherokee who struck and killed a 38-year-old transient on Pacific Coast Highway.

Officials say the victim, William Russell Baldwin, walked onto the highway in Pacific Palisades about 8:35 p.m. Tuesday and was hit by the SUV. He died at the intersection of PCH and Sunset Boulevard, said officials with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. Baldwin may have been involved in a fight prior to the accident, officials said.
