Carrie Fisher’s memoir ‘Wishful Drinking’ was a candid, slightly over the top look at the actress and author’s life, but it just wasn’t enough: Now Fisher is back, continuing the story of her career -- with all its bumps and detours, and plenty of humor -- in ‘Shockaholic.’ You can hear her discuss her book at an author event at Book Soup.

TV star Mayim Bialik (‘The Big Bang Theory’) not only has plenty of insights on neuroscience (she received a doctorate in the field from UCLA), she also has plenty of insights about parenting, which she’ll discuss this week at Vroman’s in her new book, ‘Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way.’
