Actress Elizabeth Banks -- Avery on ’30 Rock,’ Miri in ‘Zack and Miri Make a Porno’ -- is said to be ready to join the cast of ‘Hunger Games,’ the Gary Ross-directed adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ bestselling series. Ross previously directed Banks in ‘Seabiscuit.’

According to the Wrap, Banks is ‘circling’ the role of Effie Trinket, ‘a flighty, pink haired executive who works on the gladiator-like games.’

If Banks signs on to the picture, she would join Oscar-nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale).

The film’s production company, Lionsgate, announced two additions to the cast Monday on a Facebook page about the film: Thresh and Rue will be played by two Hollywood newcomers, Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg.
