Jimmy Fallon’s regular skit about thank-you notes will be a book, called, to prevent any possible confusion, ‘Thank You Notes,’ NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group and Grand Central Publishing announced Tuesday. Look for it in stores May 23.

On Fridays -- and the occasional Thanksgiving Thursday -- Fallon writes thank-you notes at his desk. Mashed potatoes, sweater vests and a light bulb he’s too busy to replace have all been the recipients of Fallon’s on-screen gratitude.

As he leans over his desk, Fallon takes a pen to actual thank-you note cards as he narrates his thanks. Will the book include Fallon’s actual handwritten notes? Or a reasonable facsimile?

‘Grand Central Publishing is a great partner to bring these books to stores, and we know that ‘Thank You Notes’ will be a must-have book for comedy lovers for years to come,’ said Kim Niemi, senior vice president of NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group, in Tuesday’s release.

If you receive the book as a gift, be sure to remember to send a thank-you note.
