Mid-City: Nelson Salazar Jr., 18

Nelson Salazar Jr., an 18-year-old Latino, was shot and killed on Sunday, Dec. 20, in the 8500 block of Beverlywood Street in Mid-City, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s officials.

Salazar and two other men were shot about 6:25 p.m. in the incident. The victims were taken to the hospital, where Salazar was pronounced dead at 6:54 p.m., said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The condition of the surviving victims was unknown. Police did not have information on the suspects.
