Canoga Park: Guillermo Mendoza-Rojas, 21

Guillermo Mendoza-Rojas, a 21-year-old Latino, died Sunday, Sept. 26 after he was shot twice in the 20900 block of Gresham Street in Canoga Park, authorities said. Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 8800 block of Independence Avenue near Gresham Street just before 3 a.m., said Los Angeles police spokeswoman Norma Eisenman.

Isidro Meza-Rojas, a 28-year-old Latino, was shot and killed in the same incident. Coroner’s officials said the two men were cousins.
