Victor Lopez, 16, a Latino youth, was shot multiple times at 14720 S. Cookacre Ave. in East Rancho Dominguez, and died at 10:55 p.m. July 24.
He was shot in the course of a carjacking just east of Compton at 10:17 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputy Ed Hernandez said. Lopez was taken to a hospital, where he died. More information to come.
