Alan Torres, 18, a Latino young man, was struck by gunfire in the 3100 block of Gleason Avenue in LAPD’s Hollenbeck Division, and died at 6:02 p.m. May 4. A 17-year-old Latino youth walked up and shot him many times. Witnesses came forward, and a 17-year-old Latino youth was arrested and charged, Det. Gustavo Barrientos of Hollenbeck said. Detectives believe he shot Torres because of some dispute.
