The Deal: Plushpod summer clearance sale

The West Hollywood showroom Plushpod is reducing floor samples and excess inventory by 40% to 70% to make room for fall arrivals. Look for steep discounts on furnishings and accessories by Gus Modern and Blu Dot, among others, as well as Plushpod’s entire line of sofas, currently reduced by 20%. Custom sofas -- any design, dimension or fabric -- are also 20% off.
Blu Dot deals include the modern Section 8 bookshelf, shown above, which is marked down 40%. Originally $1,899, the summer sale includes two floor samples -- one in oak and another in graphite, reduced to $1,139.40.
And as part of Gus Modern’s annual summer sale, all upholstery products in the showroom -- sofas, chairs and ottomans -- will be reduced by 20% through Aug. 14. That brings the Sparrow Glider, shown at right, regularly $999, down to $799.20.
Quantities are limited. The summer sale runs through Aug. 11.
