Post-Christmas clearances do not seem as dramatic this year as in seasons past, but many retailers are still offering steep discounts on selected items:
Ikea has slashed prices on some items up to 60% in its annual winter sale running through Jan. 9. Furnishings include the Sjovik dining table in white, above, regularly $299, now $179. The Nutid refrigerator/freezer, regularly $799, is now $399. The Luftig exhaust hood, regularly $1,299, is now $649.
The Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams winter clearance features 30% to 60% discounts off select floor samples including sofas, sleepers, beds, chairs and benches. Special-order upholstery is 20% off. The sale runs through Jan. 30 at 7960 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles; (323) 651-0200.
Room & Board is offering 20% to 60% off discontinued furnishings and accessories including the Roland Chair, pictured at right, regularly $949, now $699. LeCorbusier chairs in white and black leather, regularly $2,500, are now $1,899.99; and a LeCorbusier three-seat sofa, regularly $6,000, is now $4,499.99. West Elm has more than 150 items -- furniture, accessories and holiday decor -- on sale for up to 75% off. The Pratt desk in white, right, was designed in collaboration with Pratt Institute; regularly $299, it’s now $199.99. (888) 922-4119
