Designers Max and Linda Geiser of Wallter may be best known for their modern textiles, coat racks and wall decor, but the Northern California couple provided a sneak peek at a new line of outdoor planters during the Dwell on Design show over the weekend.
The fun, 5-by-9-inch aluminum planters are inspired by their family.

‘We have two kids and we’ve been getting into gardening lately,’ Linda Geiser said. ‘My husband is really in to succulents. But we have a blind dog and two toddlers who stomp on them.’

Frustrated, the couple designed a container that would get plants off the ground.

The planters have angled tops and drainage holes in the bottom. They come in three styles: hanging, wall mounted or post. The powder-coat color choices are white, orange, mustard or teal. Prices: $70 to $90, depending on the style, when they hit the market in September. Wallter is accepting pre-orders on its website.
