It’s PBK meets DIY. See, Pottery Barn Kids no longer has the top for this kids’ play table available. These bright-red Ellis wood play table legs from Pottery Barn Kids are a great start to building something special and are included in the website’s current Memorial Day clearance sale.

So at the risk of sounding all Martha Stewart-crafty, how hard can it be to go to Home Depot, purchase a piece of plywood and create a terrific-looking place for kids to color, make crafts or (gasp) do homework? The pair comes in two sizes: 21- and 29-inches tall. Both are 25’ deep, though the top -- bolted on -- can overhang a bit. The bases have built-in shelves for storage. Normally $199, the pair is now on sale for $79.99. Shipping is $20.
