Ceramist Lorena Barrezueta has been hand-crafting these cheeky porcelain dishes in her Brooklyn studio since 2003. The colorful pieces are cast from aluminum takeout containers and comes in a variety of glazes and shapes and sizes.

Barrezueta calls this her Gourmet Collection -- and the prices proves why. Each piece can cost as much as $150. But her online Etsy shop (devoted to ‘Seconds, Samples and Surprises’) offers a small selection of discounted items with slight imperfections.

A set of two swig cups, like those shown at right, is currently listed at $38. A carryout dish, which normally retails for $80 at ReForm School or Cube, is $50 here. A set of two tasting bowls, $28.

But don’t stop with the inventory you see online; e-mail info@lorenabarrezueta.com for other items in stock. All sales are final.
