No trip to see the horticultural wonders at the Los Angeles County Arboretum is complete without a stop in the Garden & Gift Shop to peruse the latest botanic-themed products.

Manager Marc Hall stocks everything from plants and postcards to peacock feathers. There is a nice selection of nature and environmental books, toys and projects for kids. If it’s too sunny out, you can buy a hat and a cold drink. Hall and his staff change the displays with the seasons, and this time of year there are tables arranged around Valentine’s Day, with lavender-themed products and items for the bird lover.
