So much of today’s kid-related decor is not about children at all. Modernists cribs? Come on. That’s all about the parents.

The new glow-in-the-dark percale bedding designed by Hable Construction for Garnet Hill is another example. The martians and spaceships on the comforter are promised to glow brightly, ‘fading gently as your child falls asleep.’ Translation: No night light. No hall light. No meltdowns. Think about how much easier bedtime is going to be for the grown-ups.

The bedding is available in twin, double and queen sizes, and priced between $68 to $118. We should note that only the comforter cover ($95-$105) glows in the dark. And they offer no guarantee against alien abduction.

Also, Garnet Hill is currently offering a special ‘friends and family’ discount through the end of today. Simply use source code H9W236B to get 20% off.
