Flower Duet hosts pomander class for kids at the Huntington on Saturday

November 18, 2009 |  1:03 pm

Young floral designers can create festive holiday pomanders like the one shown above in a Saturday workshop hosted by Casey Schwartz and Kit Wertz, co-owners of the Redondo Beach-based floral design business Flower Duet.

Working with wet floral foam and fresh seasonal flowers, pupils will make spherical arrangements that can be carried with a ribbon, hung like an ornament or used as a table centerpiece.

The class is designed for children ages 7 to 12. The $25 to $30 fee includes one accompanying adult. 1 to 2:30 p.m. Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, 1151 Oxford Road, San Marino. Registration: (626) 405-2128.
