Brentwood resident Holdger Schubert’s 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi ‘Boxer’ lives in a 1,200-square-foot garage that has a view, a modular couch, two Dodo recliners (by Toshiuki Kita) and a metal and stone coffee table. No wonder it won the Maserati and Architectural Digest’s Design Driven contest for best garage. L.A. Times car critic Dan Neil took a tour of the space and concludes that when emission-free electric cars become mainstream, ‘people may be able to drive directly into the home.’ It would certainly make unloading the kids and groceries easier.

After the jump we have photos of some of other submissions to the contest.
