It’s on: a rare 20%-off-everything sale from modern furniture maker Blu Dot. The discounts start today and last only through Sept. 8. A quick scan of the Blu Dot website showed, from left: the Real Good chair made of powder-coated steel and designed with seams that look like paper folds, originally $129, now $103.20; the bent plywood Drift console, available in walnut or cherry, originally $1,599, now $1,279.20; the Barbarella coffee table, with a wood veneer top and steel base ready to stow a magazine or two, originally $499, now $399.20; and the armless Clyde sofa, primed for double duty as a guest bed, originally $1,099, now $879.20.

More designs and colors are on the website, as is the store locator. It lists spots such as David Galindo Home in Long Beach and Plushpod in Los Angeles, but some Southern California retailers seem to be missing. A spokeswoman said each retailer gets to decide whether it will honor the sale prices, but it sounds like most will.
