2 Cool 4 Back 2 School, Part 5: Target has shot straight into my design Achilles heel with these art movement-influenced campus-bound beauties.

The Pixilated Dot pedestal coffee table references the Benday dots (the ink-on-paper version of pixels) in Roy Lichtenstein’s pop art paintings and Bridget Riley’s visually arresting op art canvasses. The 25.75-inch-diameter metal table, suitable for outdoor use (I’m thinking city patio or Palm Springs poolside), is $59.99 and sold online only.

The Xhiliration Peacock bed-in-a-bag set takes a common art nouveau feather motif and turns it into a bold graphic pattern so beautiful I don’t even care that the comforter is filled with polyester. It also includes a sheet set and shams for $53.99 (twin), $71.99 (full) and $89.99 (queen). If they made it in California king, it’d be on my bed tomorrow.
