It’s a funny-looking building, with windows of all different sizes hanging on it like a bunch of randomly placed flat-screen TVs, but the new town house complex Habitat 15 on Detroit Street ultimately represents a city in transition. In his story on the building, David Hay explains: ‘As the region grows more dense, architects and developers continue to look for ways to create new types of living arrangements — in this case, a clever complex that invokes the city’s townhome ordinance to squeeze 15 residences onto a 14,000-square-foot lot.’ Tour this effort for yourself.
