Darth Vader, where did you go wrong?

Yes, we know all about your past, the Dark Side of the Force and all that, but bank robbery? Seriously?

As Comic-Con marks ‘Star Wars’ day Friday, police in a galaxy far, far away -- OK, in Long Island -- are searching for a man who robbed a bank Thursday morning dressed as Darth Vader. According to reports, the approximately 6-foot-2-tall man stole an undetermined amount of cash after pointing a gun at tellers in a Chase branch.

Thankfully, no one was hurt. But the robbery has created its own small disturbance in the Force on the sidewalks of San Diego, where the Dark Lord of the Sith is a common sight. After all, the Man in Black is one of the most popular costumes for the weekend, and especially so on ‘Star Wars’ day. Now, seeing Vader anywhere near an ATM machine has got to give one pause. Still, it’s clear from the investigators’ statement and bank photos that the robber’s outfit was not quite up to Comic-Con snuff. Yes, the robber was wearing the iconic helmet, but his cape was blue and his pants were camouflage. And, of course, no lightsaber.
